Redford Township, MI (July 26, 2023) - The intersection of Beech Daly and Puritan was the scene of a hit-and-run that caused injuries and prompted a police investigation in Redford Township on Saturday night.

A motorcycle and an SUV, thought to be a Chevrolet Equinox manufactured between 2010 and 2015, were involved in the collision. According to the police, the two collided at the intersection before the driver of the Chevy SUV fled the scene and headed west on Puritan. EMTs transported the motorcyclist to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is not known.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Redford Police Department and speak with Officer Nelson of the RPD's Traffic Bureau. The police suspect that the driver's side of the Equinox will be damaged and that the vehicle may be missing a taillight.

An investigation is still ongoing in the meantime, and no additional details were released to the public.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their loved ones in hopes of a full recovery.
