Lansing, MI (July 27, 2023) - Traffic on eastbound Interstate 96 in Lansing, Ingham County, was impacted due to a major collision involving a truck and passenger vehicle on Thursday morning, July 27.

At around 8:00 a.m., officers with the Lansing Police Department say that a truck and a sedan collided, causing the truck's trailer to separate and tumble onto its side. Both lanes of eastbound I-96 were closed about a mile west of the U.S. Highway 127/I-96 intersection as a result.

The accident left one individual with minor to moderate injuries, according to the police, but updates on their current condition have not been released. The LPD is continuing to investigate the incident in the interim.
