Charlotte, MI (July 30, 2023) - On Friday, July 28, a man from Potterville was struck and critically injured by a driver in the Charlotte area, according to the police.
Officers with the Charlotte Police Department said the victim, a 25-year-old man, was hit at 10:30 p.m. on Friday while bicycling on Lansing Street, north of Hall Street.
The biker suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Sparrow Hospital. The vehicle's driver was not injured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
Eaton Area EMS, Charlotte Fire Department, and Eaton County Central Dispatch all responded to help the Eaton County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police Lansing Post. In the interim, an investigation is still ongoing, and no additional details were reported publicly.
