Detroit, MI - Multi-Vehicle Wreck with Injuries on I-96 at Beck Rd Under DPD Investigation

Detroit, MI (August 1, 2023) - On Tuesday night, August 1, officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to an accident alert and report of injuries on eastbound I-96.

At 10:25 p.m., on the eastbound side of the highway, not far from the Beck Road exit, an accident occurred, as reported by the DPD and the Michigan DOT. The incident, which authorities suspect involved two drivers and many passengers, prompted the closure of lanes of traffic and the subsequent deployment of first responders.

Medical personnel arrived shortly afterward, but officials haven't commented on the victims' conditions.
