Detroit, MI (August 1, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department was called to an accident on northbound Interstate 275 on Tuesday afternoon, August 1. The crash caused serious injuries to several persons.
The Michigan Department of Transportation and the Detroit Police Department reports that at around 3:40 p.m., two vehicles crashed on I-275 at the 6 Mile Road exit.
The right lane of traffic was cordoned down by DPD officers, and local emergency medical services personnel came soon after. However, there has been no word on how seriously injured the victims are or what their current condition is.
The DPD is in charge of the investigation into the crash and will provide the public with additional details as they become available.
