Detroit, MI (September 6, 2023) - On September 6th, both left lanes of I-696 were blocked after a collision involving two or three motorists.
The left eastbound lane of Highway 3 was closed after an accident occurred at roughly 5:00 p.m. near the exit for Gratiot Avenue. Investigators from the Macomb County Sheriff's Office found evidence of a collision between two vehicles upon their arrival. The identity of the victims and the events leading up to the tragedy are yet unknown.
Authorities sent medics to the site of the crash, but they haven't said anything about the patients' status since then.
The inquiry into the cause of the accident is still active and continuing.
