Detroit, MI (September 20, 2023) – After a tragic hit-and-run last week, police in Detroit are still looking for the driver involved.
The incident occurred on Friday evening near the corner of Fairmount and Schoenherr Highway, according to the police. The Detroit Police Department reports that a white Hummer fled the area and was heading toward Eight Mile Road after the crash, per witnesses who were in the area at the time. The vehicle’s passenger-side mirror is likely broken.
The victim was transported to the hospital, later succumbing to her injuries.
Bystanders with additional information were asked to contact the Detroit PD’s Fatal Squad. Officers are conducting an active investigation in the interim.
