Detroit, MI - Multi-Vehicle Wreck w/Injuries on I-696 at I-275

Detroit, MI (September 23, 2023) - On Saturday, September 23, in the afternoon, a collision involving two or three automobiles in the eastbound lanes of I-696 in Detroit resulted in at least one injury.

It was at 4:00 p.m. when the crash happened on I-696, just after the intersection with I-275. When Oakland County Sheriff's Office officers arrived at the site of the crash, they determined that two or three automobiles were involved, but they did not provide any details on the victims or the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The degree of the victims' injuries and their present state has not yet been made public, despite the fact that emergency medical technicians were sent to the location of the tragedy to assess the wounded.

An inquiry has been carried out jointly by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit Police Department. If there are any pending charges or citations, it is unclear.
