Comstock Twnshp, MI - Woman Hit, Killed on 26th St at H Ave

Comstock Township, MI (September 28, 2023) - On Thursday, a woman was struck by a vehicle and later died in the hospital.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office reports that the accident occurred at 9:20 p.m. on 26th Street, south of H Avenue in Comstock Township. According to authorities, a vehicle traveling north struck a pedestrian who was walking along the shoulder of the road.

Paramedics claimed they took the woman to the hospital, but she later died there.

The sheriff's office said that the driver was under investigation and that alcohol likely played a contributing role in the accident. A probe of the crash is now underway. Witnesses were asked to contact the sheriff's office or quiet observer if they had any information.
