Detroit, MI - Multi-Vehicle Wreck w/Injuries on I-696 at Groesbeck Hwy

Detroit, MI (September 28, 2023) - Officers were called to the scene of an injury-causing accident involving two to three drivers in the greater Detroit region on Thursday afternoon, September 28.

At around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, an accident occurred close to the intersection of Groesbeck Highway and eastbound I-696.

Although no one was seriously hurt in the crash, according to officers who reported to the site of the crash, at least two people were taken as a precaution to a nearby hospital. The specific events that preceded the collision remain unclear, and the cause of the crash is unknown, but officers suspect that speed may have played a role in the crash.
