Detroit, MI (October 1, 2023) - The left southbound lanes of Highway 39 were closed on Sunday, October 1, due to an accident involving at least two vehicles in the Greater Detroit area.

The crash, which occurred on Sunday evening near the 7 Mile Road exit, seems to have involved two to three vehicles. The Michigan State Patrol and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office sent an investigation team to the scene at about 11:00 p.m.

All injured victims were sent to the hospital; however, there is currently no information available on their current statuses.

Local authorities have claimed they are currently investigating the collision but have not released any new information to the public.
