Detroit, MI (October 4, 2023) - After a deadly accident on Interstate 94, Detroit Police informed the Detroit Regional Communication Center, which released a crash alert on Wednesday, October 4.
Early reports state that witnesses saw a driver speeding along eastbound I-94. A short while later, police were called by a woman who said she had accidentally run over someone on Interstate 94. Troopers arrived to find a 37-year-old Detroit man seriously hurt on the shoulder of the highway, and paramedics later pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver stayed at the scene, but it's unclear if citations or charges are pending. The circumstances leading up to the crash are also unknown. Officers with the Detroit Police Department are continuing their investigation but have not provided any additional details.
