Detroit, MI (October 6, 2023) - Two people were injured in a T-bone wreck at the intersection of Doubs-Chapel Road and Murdocksville Road near Eastwood on Friday, October 6.

At around 4:00 p.m., a Dodge pickup truck was traveling south on Murdocksville Road when it collided with a Ford pickup truck heading east on Doubs-Chapel Road. Firefighters from Eastwood Fire Department and Carthage Fire and Rescue had to use tools to open the driver-side door of the Ford truck to get to the female patient.

The female driver of the Ford truck and a female passenger in the Dodge truck were taken by EMS to Moore Regional Hospital. The male driver of the Dodge was evaluated on scene and released. Both patients had minor to moderate injuries.

Traffic in all directions was brought down to one lane while the State Highway Patrol investigated, and fire crews cleaned up the wreckage.

The exact cause of the incident remains under investigation.
