Lansing, MI - Woman Hospitalized After House Fire on Wisconsin Ave

Muskegon, MI (October 18, 2023) - Authorities in Muskegon say they have identified a man who died in a weekend garage fire.

A fire was reported in the 2100 block of Bourdon in the Lakeside area at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Rescuers discovered a 28-year-old man in a serious state of injury. The man made it out of the garage before the fire department came, but he was badly burned. After being taken to a hospital in Muskegon, he was flown to Grand Rapids, where he passed away.

Fire marshals determined the blaze began inside the garage, close to where the man was working on his motorcycle.

The fire's cause is still a mystery, though authorities are still investigating at this time.

Our sincere condolences are extended to the deceased man's loved ones.
