Detroit, MI (October 19, 2023) - On Thursday afternoon, October 19, at least one person was hurt in a pedestrian accident that occurred in the greater Detroit area, as reported by Macomb County authorities.

Authorities say that the incident occurred near the intersection of northbound Gratiot Avenue and 15 Mile Road around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday and that it appeared that at least one of the drivers may have fled the scene after the incident occurred.

Detroit Fire and EMS units from the Clinton Township were en route, but it's not clear how seriously the pedestrian was injured.

Troopers with the Michigan State Police assessed the scene, along with officers from the Detroit Police Department. However, officers are continuing to investigate at this time.
