Detroit, MI (October 22, 2023) - Multiple right lanes on southbound Michigan Highway 39 were shut down by a multi-vehicle wreck on Sunday, October 22, and the Detroit Police Department was called to the site of the crash to investigate.

According to a report from the Michigan Department of Transportation for Wayne County, the accident shut down several right-hand lanes of the highway after Grand River Road. Just before 9:30 p.m., the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police arrived at the site and started their inquiry.

The Detroit Police Department also sought emergency medical help, as at least one person sustained injuries. However, it is presently unclear how many people were hurt.

Detectives from the DPD are completing their inquiry and looking for any witnesses who may have further information. No new information has been given since then.

We are thinking about the injured victims and their loved ones at this time, and we hope for their full recovery.
