Lansing, MI (October 25, 2023) - On Wednesday, a collision forced the closure of a section of West Saginaw Street and caused a handful of victim injuries, per local authorities.

Just before noon on Wednesday, October 25, a vehicle smashed into a power line pole after a two-car wreck at the intersection, forcing the closure of West Saginaw Street between Harrison and Pine Forest.

The police have verified that an SUV was heading east before it collided with a sedan, went off the road, and hit a utility pole. One male passenger was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, though the total number of people involved remains unclear.

Local news footage captured images of burning power wires falling over the road.

An investigation is still ongoing, however, and no further details were released.

The injured victim and their loved ones are in our thoughts.
