Detroit, MI - I-696 Site of Injury Accident After Lahser Exit

Detroit, MI (November 4, 2023) - On Saturday, November 4, at least one person was hurt in an accident that occurred in the greater Detroit area, as reported by Oakland County authorities.

Authorities say that the incident occurred on westbound Interstate 696, around 1:20 p.m. on Saturday and that it appeared at least two to three drivers were involved in the incident, with two injured victims transported from the scene. News footage showed officers surrounding the scene near the exit ramp after Lahser Road.

Detroit Fire and EMS units from the Oakland area were en route, but it's not clear how seriously the victims were injured.

Troopers with the Michigan State Police assessed the scene, along with officers from the Detroit Police Department. However, officers are continuing to investigate at this time.
