Detroit, MI - Injury-Causing Collision on I-275 at Michigan Ave

Detroit, MI (November 5, 2023) - After an accident on Sunday afternoon, November 5, a local Detroit roadway was shut down.

Several lanes of southbound I-275 were closed down due to the accident at roughly 3:05 p.m., according to troopers with the Michigan State Police. Several first responders reported to the scene shortly thereafter, just after the exit to Michigan Avenue on the southbound side of the roadway.

First responders also arrived at the site, though it is unclear how severe the victims' injuries were or the current conditions of those involved. Local law enforcement in the Detroit area is continuing their investigation, but no new details have been published as of yet.
