Detroit, MI (November 13, 2023) - A car crashed into a building on Detroit’s east side early this morning, leaving the one person dead and others injured, according to police.
Detroit Police and Fire Departments responded to a crash around at a strip mall in the area of East Seven Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue. Investigators say a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crashed into the building.
Authorities said firefighters were able to remove the driver from the vehicle after some difficulty due to the airbags deploying. Officers also treated other victims at the scene.
Police said they are still investigating the crash and what occurred during the aftermath.
