Lansing, MI (November 20, 2023) – On Monday morning, at around 8:00 a.m., firefighters from the Lansing Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in Saginaw, on the corner of Capitol and Madison. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and flames emanating from the structure. Two out of the four apartments in this building were inhabited. No one was seriously hurt, but three individuals had to be evacuated and assessed by EMTs at the scene, according to the fire department. It is unclear whether the building will be red-tagged as a result of the damage, and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
