Lowell, MI - Two-Vehicle Crash Causes Injuries at Alden Nash Ave

Detroit, MI (November 21, 2023) - According to authorities, a flatbed semi-truck was trying to make a late exit to Mound Road while it was heading westbound on I-696, causing a jackknife accident to occur, per the latest investigation. The driver's truck jackknifed and its steel coils, which weighed close to 107,000 pounds, were dumped when the flatbed trailer overturned. The incident further led to a subsequent rear-end collision involving at least two other vehicles. The trash truck driver's injuries were not considered life-threatening, but paramedics transported a handful of people from the scene. No further details have been released, but an investigation remains ongoing.
