Macomb, MI – Accident Reported on I-94 near Shook Rd

Macomb, MI (May 24, 2024) – An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals for the treatment of injuries following a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Macomb County. Officials were informed of the accident at around 11:40 a.m. on May 23.

According to official reports, a motor vehicle accident blocked multiple lanes on the eastbound side of Interstate 94. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near Shook Road. Delays were reported throughout the area, extending back as far as Gratiot Road, as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Emergency medical services were summoned to the crash site to care for injured victims. Those who required further care were transported to local hospitals.
