Car Accidents in Michigan

Flint, MI - Crash With Injuries at E 2nd Ave & N Saginaw StThroughout Michigan, vehicle crashes remain a daily challenge for drivers, with thousands of people hurt every year on city streets and highways. In 2022 alone, more than 50,000 people were injured in crashes statewide. Busy intersections can become dangerous when drivers ignore traffic signals or act carelessly. For many, the aftermath of a collision brings stress, pain, and the burden of medical expenses.

Learning what victims may face after a crash can help people feel more informed and prepared:

  • Soft Tissue Injuries: Sprains and strains are common in urban accidents, particularly when seatbelts lock during a sudden stop. These injuries may seem minor, but they can cause ongoing pain if not treated properly.
  • Broken Bones: The impact of a crash can easily lead to fractures in the arms, legs, or ribs. Victims often require surgery or weeks of recovery and rehabilitation to regain full strength.
  • Head Injuries: Even if airbags deploy, a driver or passenger may hit their head on the window or steering wheel, resulting in concussions or other traumatic brain injuries that require close monitoring.
  • Emotional Effects: Many people feel anxious or fearful about driving again after a collision. It’s important to address emotional trauma with therapy or support groups when needed.
