Detroit, MI – Lodge Freeway Crash Reported near 7 Mile Rd

Detroit, MI (December 13, 2023) – The Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred in the Detroit area and sent at least one person to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries. At around 3:30 a.m. on December 13, emergency officials were requested on-site at a collision on Lodge Freeway.

Reports from local news sources show that a black Saab and a semi-truck collided on the northbound side of the freeway near 7 Mile Road. The collision resulted in the semi-truck leaking full on the roadway, prompting authorities to shut down multiple lanes as they provided assistance. Emergency medical services responded to the site of the crash to care for the injured victims and transport those who required further medical attention to local hospitals. At this time, the incident is being investigated by law enforcement.
