Car Accidents in Michigan

Detroit, MI – Auto Accident Reported on I-75 near M-8 Ends in InjuriesCar crashes occur far too often in Michigan. Each year, these accidents are the cause of tens of thousands of injuries statewide. We see many people hospitalized with trauma to the head, internal organ injuries, and even broken bones. After being hurt in a car crash, you can take legal action against the responsible party. To be able to prevail, you must be able to demonstrate negligence. Common acts of negligence that lead to accidents in our state include:

  • Fatigued Driving: Similar to intoxication, driving while drowsy hinders judgment and coordination. Driving while too tired can result in delayed reaction time and other devastating consequences.
  • Driver Inexperience: New or inexperienced drivers may not have the skills and experience that they need to navigate the roadway safely and effectively. This increases the risk of motor vehicle accidents occurring.
  • Running Red Lights: When drivers fail to stop at intersections, they can crash into other vehicles and cause severe harm. Unfortunately, there are many instances where people are harmed in intersections due to drivers who engage in this act of negligence.

If you have been hurt as a result of a car crash that was preventable and caused by the negligent or careless actions of another driver, you may be able to recover compensation for your losses and damages.
