Algoma Twp., MI (February 4, 2024) – The Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on Thursday evening and claimed one man’s life. The incident took place at approximately 5:00 p.m. on February 1.
According to official reports, a Ford Fusion was traveling on Indian Lakes Road during the evening hours. As the vehicle proceeded through the intersection of Pine Island Drive, it collided with a Chevrolet Silverado. The driver of the Ford, identified as a 21-year-old, was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Silverado, a 69-year-old man from Belmont, was injured. He was transported to a local hospital for medical care. At this time, the crash is under investigation.
