Blackman Twp, MI (June 4, 2023) - A vehicle collision in Blackman Township on Saturday night, June 3, left two people injured.

There were multiple vehicles involved in the crash, which was reported on Interstate 94 near Airport Road at around 5:37 p.m. A Ford Ranger pickup truck reportedly hit a Ford Bronco, and the Bronco then hit a Michigan Department of Transportation arrow direction trailer. This pushed the trailer onto the road, and a third vehicle hit another car and attempted to avoid colliding with the trailer. The fourth vehicle then crashed into a tree.

The driver of the Ranger was found pinned between the vehicle and a median, and another man was found inside the pickup. Both were rescued with the jaws of life before being flown to a hospital in critical condition.

It is believed that alcohol was involved in the crash, and the driver of the Ranger was reportedly driving recklessly at the time of the accident.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
