Algonac, MI (June 3, 2023) – A Clarkston woman was killed in a boating accident in Algonac over the weekend on Friday, May 26. 

The deadly accident took place at the Algonac Harbor Club on M-29 near State Street. When emergency responders arrived, they found a 23-foot Cobia Center Console boat had crashed into the dock. Two people were on the boat as it was attempting to dock. 

A passenger on the boat, 66-year-old Debra Fox of Clarkston, suffered fatal injuries. She was treated at the scene before being transferred to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

Imlay City, MI (June 3, 2023) – A woman was killed and a man injured following a crash involving two motorcycles in Imlay City on Sunday afternoon, May 28. 

The fatal accident was reported on M-53 as the woman was riding a Can-Am Spyder three-wheeled motorcycle and the man was riding another motorcycle. A woman driving a pickup truck reportedly entered the path of the riders near the Kroger at around 2:15 p.m. All three vehicles collided. 

The rider of the Can-Am suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other motorcyclist was transported to McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital for treatment.

Flint Twp, MI (June 3, 2023) – A head-on crash in Flint Township on Saturday, May 27, left two people dead and another in critical condition. 

At around 10:35 p.m., two vehicles collided on Interstate 75 near Beecher Road. It was reported that a 43-year-old man from Flint Township was traveling south in the northbound lanes when he crashed head-on with an oncoming sedan. The 27-year-old Flushing resident driving the sedan suffered critical injuries. 

Two occupants in the sedan suffered fatal injuries in the impact. They were identified as a 24-year-old Flushing woman and a 31-year-old Mundy Township man. All lanes were closed, and alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.

The victim was riding a 1989 Honda Hurricane motorcycle when he was hit by a black 2020 Peterbilt tractor-trailer at the intersection of Telegraph and Newport Roads at around 12:30 p.m. The rider was ejected from the bike and came to a rest in the intersection.
