Calhoun Co, MI - Victims Hurt in I-94 Auto Accident Near Beadle Lake Rd

Calhoun County, MI (July 20, 2023) - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) alerted drivers of major traffic delays as a result of an accident that shut down a portion of I-94 in Calhoun County on Wednesday, July 19.

According to MDOT officials and local Calhoun officers, the collision happened on eastbound I-94 after Highway 294, close to Exit 100 for Beadle Lake Road. The right lanes were restricted for at least an hour as authorities responded to the scene and began their investigation.

EMTs were sent to the area and apparently assisted at least one injured person, though the exact number of individuals involved has not yet been verified.

Although no more information was made publicly available in the meantime, the accident is under active investigation.
