Kalamazoo, MI (July 21, 2023) - The Wednesday, July 19 afternoon commute was impacted by heavy traffic backups after a motorcycle accident that apparently caused injuries, according to local officers.
The crash was reported on Parker Street, which is close to Westnedge Avenue. Around 5:00 p.m., officers with the Kalamazoo Police Department were dispatched and began their on-scene investigation. Early reports indicate that a motorcyclist and the driver of a sedan were involved.
The motorcyclist was assessed by EMTs at the site, though it's unclear how serious their injuries were. It's also unknown if the driver involved was hurt or evaluated by paramedics.
