Lansing, MI - One Dead, Another Hurt After Two Vehicles Collide at Cedar & Saginaw Sts

Lansing, MI (July 21, 2023) - A Friday morning collision on Cedar Street in Lansing resulted in the death of one person and the injury of another.

Lansing Police reported that the two-vehicle collision occurred on Friday, July 21, at approximately 1:00 a.m. on Cedar Street near East Saginaw Street. One of the vehicles lost control while traveling south on Cedar Street and collided with a tree and the other vehicle near the Riverfront Apartments.

Officials on the site confirmed that one of the drivers died, while the other victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The closure of Cedar Street lasted approximately four hours, though officers are continuing to investigate. No further details have been provided publicly.
