Ottawa County, MI (July 21, 2023) - On Wednesday, July 19, a vehicle struck a teenager crossing the street in Ottawa County, which left them hospitalized.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office, a 14-year-old was attempting to cross Apple Drive at 10:15 p.m. when a 55-year-old male driving southbound in a Pontiac Grand Prix hit him. The adolescent was transported to a hospital and is anticipated to recover, per the latest reports from deputies.
The driver was uninjured. Deputies request that anyone who believes they may have relevant information regarding this investigation contact them immediately. In the interim, Ottawa County officials are handling the active investigation.
