Detroit, MI (July 22, 2023) - Officers from the Detroit Police Department reported an accident with apparent injuries on Saturday, July 22, in the later evening hours, and they launched a crash investigation.
According to an accident notice released by the Michigan Department of Transportation, the incident happened on the northbound side of Michigan Highway 10 shortly after 9:00 p.m. Soon after they arrived, DPD officers shut down all of the lanes leading up to Linwood Avenue before paramedics were dispatched.
EMTs were spotted by news footage at the scene, though the drivers' status and the extent of their injuries are not currently known. DPD representatives will oversee the ongoing investigation and release new details as they become available.
