Detroit, MI - MI Hwy 39 Site of Injury Vehicle Wreck at Grand River Ave

Detroit, MI (July 23, 2023) - The most up-to-date information from the Detroit Police Department indicates that at least one person was hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on Sunday, July 23.

According to reports, the incident occurred at about 9:40 p.m. local time on northbound State Highway 39, not far from Grand River Avenue. Towing services were called to remove the wreckage, and the southbound exit ramp was closed while the injured were attended to by paramedics. It is unclear how many of the injured were taken to local hospitals after being inspected by first responders.

There has been no more explanation. The ongoing accident investigation is being led by law enforcement, who are currently attempting to interview witnesses.
