Richland Township, MI (July 28, 2023) - After a two-vehicle collision on Thursday night, July 27, one person was hurt and sent to a nearby hospital.
Around 9:50 p.m., officers with the Richland Township Police Department received the initial report of the collision. The incident apparently happened close to East D Avenue and North 30th Street. News footage from the scene showed a U-Haul van and a silver Ford Focus that both sustained considerable front-end damage.
Life EMS and the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office were also dispatched to assess injured victims and transfer those requiring additional care to a nearby hospital.
In the interim, the cause of the wreck remains unknown, and area authorities continue to investigate.
