Bridgeport Township, MI (August 2, 2023) - A two-car accident in Bridgeport Township reportedly sent three people to local hospitals with life-threatening injuries on Tuesday evening, August 1.
On Tuesday, the incident occurred on Dixie Highway south of King Road at around 6:20 p.m., and police and firemen arrived at the crash site shortly thereafter. As the area was cleared, traffic in both directions was blocked on that stretch of Dixie Highway. Using hydraulic rescue gear, firefighters were able to free at least two trapped victims from both cars.
The cause of the collision was initially unknown from the investigation conducted on Tuesday evening, though officers with the Bridgeport Township are continuing their inquiry at this time.
