Detroit, MI - MI Hwy 39 Site of Vehicle Collision, Injuries Near Warren Ave

Detroit, MI (August 2, 2023) - Detroit Police Department officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Michigan Highway 39 on Wednesday afternoon, August 2. They also received a report of injuries.

It was reported to have happened on the northbound side of the highway at the exit to Warren Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. by both the DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Officials blocked up multiple lanes of traffic and, based on early findings, sent emergency services to a scene where two drivers and numerous passengers were engaged.

Shortly after, paramedics arrived, but no details about the victims' injuries or current situations have been made public.

In the meantime, police are continuing their investigation and will provide more details as they become available.
