Fabius Township, MI (August 2, 2023) - Further details have been confirmed after a bicycle accident on U.S. Highway 131 occurred on July 28th and left one woman dead, per the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office.
According to the sheriff's office, a 39-year-old woman from Three Rivers was killed on Friday when a vehicle traveling in the area of Highway 131 and Millard Road struck her. Paramedics rushed to the scene shortly after the incident occurred and administered emergency treatment, but the woman was pronounced dead at the hospital soon after her arrival.
Nobody in the vehicle was hurt, police added. Deputies have not said whether citations or charges will be filed, but they say their investigation into the accident is still active.
