Detroit, MI - Two-Vehicle Wreck on I-275 at Ann Arbor Rd Leads to Injuries

Detroit, MI (August 4, 2023) - On Friday evening, August 4, officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 275 in the metropolitan Detroit area.

Preliminary DPD reports indicate that the incident occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. on the right side of northbound I-275, not far from the Ann Arbor Road exit. According to the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation, authorities closed down nearly all right-hand lanes prior to contacting fire rescue and emergency medical services.

Although paramedics responded shortly thereafter and appeared to evaluate a handful of victims at the scene, little information has been released regarding the drivers or their injuries. The DPD has issued a call for witnesses with information pertinent to their ongoing investigation.
