Detroit, MI (August 4, 2023) - On Friday morning, August 4, police responded to a serious vehicle crash and injuries on Interstate 94 in Detroit, closing multiple lanes of traffic for at least an hour.
The incident occurred at 5:15 a.m. on westbound I-94 near the I-75 ramp, as reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Two lanes in the southbound direction were closed, and one on the northbound side, bringing traffic to a complete halt. Police in Detroit have not said whether or not anyone was seriously hurt in the collision, but EMTs were shown assisting at least two victims via local news footage.
DPD officers are handling the continuing investigation at this time.
