Detroit, MI - I-275 Injury Auto Accident at US 12 Under Police Investigation

Detroit, MI (August 5, 2023) - On Saturday afternoon, August 5, police in Detroit responded to a crash on the southbound side of Interstate 275 and said that several people were hurt in the collision.

At least two cars collided on I-275 at the Highway 12 exit at around 4:20 p.m., according to the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Detroit Police Department.

DPD police blocked off the right side of the road, and local paramedics arrived shortly after. However, there has been no update on the status of the victims or the extent of their injuries.

The DPD is leading the investigation into the collision and will release new information to the public as it becomes available.
