Detroit, MI (August 5, 2023) - According to local authorities, at least one person was hurt in a major vehicle collision that occurred early on the morning of August 5 on Interstate 96 in Detroit.
The accident happened on I-96 westbound before the exit for Milford. Michigan State Police officers arrived at the location at around 11:20 a.m. and immediately began conducting an on-site investigation. Initial MSP reports indicated the incident took place in the left lanes, with police later adding information regarding a possible secondary crash near the right shoulder.
The number of casualties is unknown, although emergency medical services were present to aid those who had been injured. Troopers from the MSP are in charge of the investigation and have requested for any potential witnesses to contact them.
