Detroit, MI (August 6, 2023) - Officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to an accident alert and report of injuries on westbound I-94 at Michigan Highway 39 on the evening of Sunday, August 6.
At 7:35 p.m., the DPD and the Michigan DOT reported a collision occurred on the westbound lanes of the highway. Multiple lanes were shut down, and emergency personnel were sent to the scene after the incident, in which two drivers and several passengers are thought to have been involved.
Authorities have not released any details on the victims' health, despite the fact that EMTs were seen assessing injuries at the crash site.
DPD agents are now overseeing the investigation.
