Detroit, MI (August 6, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department responded to a collision involving at least two automobiles on Interstate 94 in the Detroit metropolitan area on the evening of August 6.

I-94 eastbound at the Greenfield Road exit was shut down to almost all traffic around 6:00 p.m., according to preliminary reports from the DPD. According to the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation, authorities arrived on the site shortly after the road was stopped to conduct an investigation.

Paramedics came immediately after the collision and seemed to evaluate a small number of casualties at the scene, but nothing more is known about the drivers or their injuries. Officers from the DPD are still looking into the incident and have contacted anybody who may have information.

Our thoughts and best wishes for a full recovery go out to the injured and their loved ones.
