Davison Township, MI (August 7, 2023) - Genesee County authorities have released additional details after an accident that occurred Friday afternoon on Interstate 69.

According to the Genesee County 911 Communications Center, officials fielded a report of an accident on the westbound side of I-69 at around 2:50 p.m., just outside of Flint. A semi-trailer apparently went flying over the Irish Road bridge after a collision on the right side of the highway, and recycled metal was seen spilling from the open trailer.

Crews worked for several hours to remove crash debris as EMTs responded and assessed victims for injuries. The total number of victims involved is still unknown, though Davison Township officers are continuing to investigate.

We would like to extend our thoughts and best wishes for a full recovery to the injured victims.
