Saline, MI (August 7, 2023) - Officers with the Saline Police Department reported the death of a 61-year-old woman after she sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident last week.
At around 10:30 p.m. on August 3, the woman was riding with another woman east on Austin Road when she was involved in a collision with the other motorcyclist. This caused her to veer from the roadway and crash into a curb, ejecting her from her bike.
She was taken by ambulance to a nearby medical center, where she was first reported to be in critical condition. The second motorcyclist was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Police say charges are pending based on the results of a toxicology report.
The incident remains under investigation, according to the latest update from the Saline PD.
