Detroit, MI (August 8, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department received reports of a car accident with injuries in the late evening of Tuesday, August 8, and responded to the crash site immediately.
According to an incident notification provided by the Michigan Department of Transportation, the wreck happened on northbound Michigan State Route 10 at the off-ramp to Wyoming Avenue. DPD officers and Michigan State Police troopers arrived at the scene of the crash at roughly 9:35 p.m. to begin their investigation.
Although it is unclear how many people were hurt in the incident, the Detroit Police Department immediately called for local emergency medical services to aid. EMTs responded and evaluated a handful of victims at the scene, though their current conditions are not known.
The investigating DPD officers asked to speak with any potential witnesses as soon as possible. Their inquiry is active and ongoing in the meantime.
