Detroit, MI (August 9, 2023) - On Wednesday night, August 9, officers from the Detroit Police Department responded to a crash involving at least two vehicles on Highway 17 in the Detroit area.
Several lanes westbound were closed after U.S. Highway 23 due to an accident, and preliminary reports from the DPD suggest that it happened at roughly 10:20 p.m. Authorities responded quickly after the road was closed so that they could begin their investigation, as reported by the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Paramedics came shortly after the collision and checked on what looked to be two casualties. DPD officials are currently investigating the event and have not released any information on the victims or their injuries at this time.
