Jackson County, MI (August 10, 2023) - After a collision on Wednesday in Jackson County, U.S. Highway 127 was shut down to all traffic in both directions between Wetherby Road and Jefferson Road.
At about 12:05 p.m. on Wednesday, the accident was reported to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Paramedics, sheriff's deputies, and Michigan State Police troopers arrived shortly thereafter. For the on-site probe, authorities completely closed the area and requested backup. At least two drivers were involved in the collision, and EMTs assessed those who were injured, but further details were not available.
The local police are actively seeking eyewitnesses. The police investigation is still open and active in the interim.
